Merit Scholarship Program
ASL’s merit scholarships are awarded in the form of a credit against the tuition charged to the student who receives the award. NO application is needed for our Merit Scholarship Program as they are awarded based on admission information.
Buchanan County Scholarships
Partial scholarships are awarded to residents of Buchanan County. For more information regarding scholarship criteria, please contact Financial Aid. Click here for an application.
Columbus Phipps Foundation

Grundy Woman’s Club Scholarship
The Grundy Woman’s Club offers an annual scholarship to be awarded to a Buchanan County, VA, female student at ASL. The Grundy Woman’s Club is a nonpartisan, nondenominational, volunteer organization. Click here for an application.

ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship
The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship grants 20 incoming diverse law students with $15,000 of financial assistance over the course of their three years in law school. During his term as ABA President, William G. Paul initiated the scholarship to encourage racially and ethnically diverse students to apply to and attend law school. Energy & Mineral Law Foundation Law Student Scholarships
Through the Annual Scholarship Program, the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation provides educational assistance to encourage the study of energy, environmental, natural resources, and mineral law. All applications are to be submitted directly to the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation.
Mike Eidson Scholarship Fund
The Mike Eidson Scholarship Fund was established by the AAJ Women’ Trial Lawyers Caucus in 2008 in honor of AAJ Past President Mike Eidson, whose vision and generosity inspired it. For additional information and the application, please visit the American Association for Justice.
Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers Single Mothers Scholarship
Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers believes in the empowerment of single mothers through education. Education has the power to open doors for single mothers and even their children. Having a degree or certification can enable a woman to expand her lifetime earning potential, increase her gross income, and provide her with better job opportunities. We want to expand opportunities for single mothers who are going back to school by offering two $1,000 scholarships (one awarded to a single mother in an undergraduate program or community college and one to a single mother enrolled in an accredited law school). Sidney B. Williams Jr. Scholarship
Sponsored by the Foundation Advancement of Diversity in IP Law, this scholarship aims to increase the number of minority intellectual property attorneys and bring these attorneys to the attention of firms and corporations as candidates for employment.
