Electronic Reference

The Appalachian School of Law Library offers students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to ask reference questions electronically. Please give us a thorough description of your research question, as well as the sources you have already consulted. We will try to respond as quickly as possible with either a tip on performing further research or to request more information.

Please note that this service is available ONLY to ASL faculty, staff, and students. We will not respond to any requests from outside the ASL community. This service does not provide legal advice, but offers research strategies.

Reference Consultation

If you would like one-on-one consultation with a librarian about a research project or seminar paper, set up an appointment with one of our librarians. Send an e-mail to Nathan Lowell, and provide the times and dates you would be available to meet, and some details about the project you’re working on. We’ll respond to you and tell you what works with our schedule, and then give you specific help for your research.
